Instructions
Step 1
Grab the XAMPP Server Prerequisite Kit. This is a very useful thing, because it is only a set for installation of the necessary programs, and not a standalone server. Run the installer, specify the installation location where the special folder will be created. The files will be unzipped and a window will appear. Press Y or N and Enter. Then leave Y as default. Also put Y on the next question and press Enter. After finishing the installation press X and "Enter".
Step 2
Launch XAMPP Panel. In the window that appears, specify the required settings and parameters. Download scripts and files to the htdocs folder. After a complete server installation, there will be many different folders and files that need to be removed.
Step 3
Start mysql and apache by clicking on the start button next to them. This will enable you to turn components on and off. To the left of the components there are SVC checkboxes that will allow you to install the components as windows services. If you need to install a production server, check them at least for mysql and apache. Just before ticking the boxes, you need to stop the components, then mark and start them again. After such manipulation, the marked components will always be launched on the computer.
Step 4
Don't install a mail server called mercury. To install it, you will need to ask your provider for a reverse zone, and they do not like to prescribe reverse zones for individuals. Moreover, it is not free (the free period is 60 days). Organize a mail server at google (there you can create up to 50 mailboxes for free, and google will steer mail from your domains).
Step 5
At this stage, only use the server to test scripts. Start the public server and get to work. With the help of such simple manipulations, you will increase labor productivity, and work will become more efficient and convenient.
