Instructions
Step 1
Purchase an external Bluetooth GPS receiver. Its price is about 2,000 rubles.
Step 2
The receiver has its own battery. It will need to be charged with the charger supplied with the receiver before use.
Step 3
Download the navigation program Google Maps, Yandex. Maps or Maps @ Mail. Ru to your phone. If you are subscribed to unlimited Internet access from your phone, you can give preference to any of them or even put all three. If you do not have unlimited Internet access from your phone, but your operator provides free traffic for the Yandex. Maps program, install a special version of this program from your operator's website. Please note that a small part of the traffic can still be charged due to the fact that the phone sends DNS queries.
Step 4
Put the receiver into the phone pairing mode according to the instructions supplied with it.
Step 5
Start the navigation software. In its menu, select the item corresponding to the detection mode of the GPS receiver. A list of Bluetooth devices found around it appears. Choose your receiver among them. If necessary, enter the pairing code specified in the instructions.
Step 6
Move your phone and receiver to an open area. Make sure your location is working.
Step 7
Become familiar with all the functions of the navigation software before using it for its intended purpose. Learn, in particular, to find streets by name, set the start and end points of the route, plan a route taking into account traffic jams. In the future, use your phone with a GPS receiver in the same way as a regular GPS navigator, but remember that if the base cellular stations, he will stop loading maps.
Step 8
In the future, do not forget to timely charge not only the phone, but also the GPS receiver. Remember that the charge levels of their batteries are not related in any way.
