Landline telephones are gradually losing their importance in the life of modern people. For many, it is simply out of habit, because it was inherited from their parents. Someone uses it to save money, for long-distance or international calls, and some enterprising people use it to slightly increase the cost of their telephoned housing. The functions of a landline telephone have been taken over by a mobile phone, while significantly expanding them. The parallel existence of two types of telephone communication gave rise to the question of how to call from a landline phone to a cell phone.
Instructions
Step 1
If you rarely call this cell phone number, then before calling, make sure that it is at hand (written down on paper, highlighted on the display of a mobile device, etc.). If you take too long to search for the desired numbers when dialing, the call will be dropped by the automatic telephone exchange and you will have to start dialing anew.
Step 2
To call a federal - ten-digit - cell phone number, start dialing with an eight. Then wait for the continuous beep and enter all ten digits of the mobile number. If you were given a twelve-digit number, simply discard the Russia code (+7) at the beginning, you do not need to dial it.
Step 3
A call to a cellular city number is carried out according to the same rules as to a landline city phone. It consists of seven or fewer digits and the dialing within the same city has no special features. For calls to such a cell phone from another city, the usual dialing rules apply - first enter the eight, then, after waiting for a long dial tone, the area code and phone number.
Step 4
If you need to call from a landline phone to a cell phone in another country, you should also start dialing with an eight. After a long beep appears, enter the international connection code. Usually this number is 10, but for some telecom operators it may be different. If the top ten does not work, check the value in the help desk or in the information section of your operator's website. After the international connection code, dial the international code of the country to which the call is made. This number does not depend on the telecom operator and is the same not only within one country, but throughout the planet. For example, the international code for Greece is everywhere 30, and the code for Germany is 49. After the country code, enter ten digits of your cell phone number. Please note that mobile numbers in some countries, such as China, are eleven digits long.
