Step 1
For the easiest copying of information from an audio CD, Windows Media Player is a standard component of almost any version of Windows. It should be noted that it is impossible to achieve good quality in this way. The wma format and minimum material size are unlikely to please the user. Sometimes even audio defects appear during such copying.
Step 2
Convert discs for convenience, usually in mp3 format. To achieve the highest quality the bitrate should be set to 320kbps. Mp3 files are good because they take up little space on your hard drive and are of relatively good quality (although far from ideal). You can convert from disc to mp3 using programs such as CDex or GoldWave. These programs are easy to use, and the process itself does not take much time.
Step 3
For higher quality material, you can convert discs to formats: wav, ogg. The program Total Audio Converter RUS, which is very easy to use, will do. But, most likely, along with everything, you will also have to download audio codecs to listen to these formats. Their quality is close to ideal, but still some degree of compression is present.
Step 4
Free Lossless Audio Codec (Flac) is the most suitable format if you are interested in fully preserving the quality of audio recording, without any loss (which even the highest quality wav and ogg are subject to).
