The loss of a mobile phone or the desire to change a SIM card usually leads to the disconnection of the old number or, in other words, its blocking. MTS subscribers can do this in several ways.
Instructions
Step 1
Block your MTS SIM card using the "Internet Assistant" service. To get started, you need a password to enter it. To get it, dial * 111 * 25 # on your mobile phone and follow the instructions of the system. Unfortunately, if you do not have a SIM card with you, and you have not previously set a password for the "Internet Assistant", then you will not be able to use this service.
Step 2
Log into the "Internet Assistant" on the page https://ihelper.mts.ru/selfcare/ and enter your cell phone number and password in the appropriate fields. Then an optional menu will appear on the left side of the window, one of the sections of which is called "Number blocking". It needs to be activated.
Step 3
Contact the MTS contact center. If you have a phone with a SIM card from MTS at hand, dial the short number 0890. To call from a landline phone or a number of another mobile operator, dial 8 800 333 08 90. As soon as the connection with the operator is established, let us know why you do not want to use your number, and tell the passport data, after which the number will be immediately blocked.
Step 4
Visit your nearest communication salon. Show your passport and ask to block your SIM card. Also here you can buy another SIM card and, if you wish, issue it with the same number and all previously connected tariffs and services. You can also restore your SIM card for free.
