The blocking can be different, for example, temporary and permanent. If in the first case you can unlock the phone, then in the second you terminate the contract, that is, you refuse cellular services.

Step 1
If you want to voluntarily block your SIM card for some time, call the information and inquiry service at 0500. Wait for the answer from the consultant of the cellular company, and then give your passport data. Having received the necessary information, the Megafon employee will block your personal account. Note that the service is not free. 30 rubles will be debited from your personal account every month.
Step 2
You can also disable the SIM card using the Service Guide system. To do this, register an individual password in the system by dialing * 105 * 00 # from your phone. Wait for a reply message with a password. After that, in the address bar, enter the link to the Megafon OJSC website, find the “Service Guide” inscription and click it. Next, you will see the cells, indicate there the phone number and the password received in the message. After entering the personal account page, find the menu (it is located to your left). Select the section "Services and tariff". In the list that appears, click on the item "Number blocking". Here, specify the period of voluntary disconnection of the SIM card. Click Install. Note that blocking the number is possible for a period of 180 days.
Step 3
You can also voluntarily block a SIM card with the help of a company consultant. To do this, you need to drive up to the nearest office of the operator or his representative office. You must have your passport with you. An employee of the company will ask you to write a statement. After that, within a few hours, your personal account will be blocked for the time you specified.
Step 4
If you want to disable your SIM card permanently, that is, to terminate the contract for the provision of communication services, visit the company's office. Only in this case you can block the SIM card permanently. In this case, no fee will be charged for blocking the number.
