Cellular operators, in turn, offer to receive emails in the form of short messages. And many banks are actively implementing the SMS notification service, with the help of which it is easy to control the state of the account.
Instructions
Step 1
Contact your service provider with a request to activate the service of receiving SMS messages. As a rule, the service starts functioning immediately after activating the SIM card, but in some cases additional actions are required. It is best to ask the representative of the mobile operator about the nuances of the connection when concluding a service contract. It's easy to check the service in action: just send a message from a third-party number. This will determine if the SMS service is working.
If the reception of text messages is prohibited, then you can activate the service in several ways:
• Call the support service;
• Send a short request in the format "* request text #" (the number can be found in the brochure attached to the contract, the Internet page of the mobile operator, or in the customer support service);
• Change the settings in your personal account (for this you need to create an account, this process is detailed on the website of cellular operators);
• Issue an official postal request (this is a rather lengthy process, they resort to it only if the previous three did not help and there is a desire to keep the previous number).
Step 2
Set up an SMS alert service for the company on whose behalf you want to receive text messages. If you want to duplicate information about account transactions, then for this you need to connect it via:
• Personal appeal to the bank branch;
• Phone call to support service;
• Changes to the relevant parameters in the personal account;
• Postal message.
It should be borne in mind that banks have the right to set some restrictions to customers on how to connect / disconnect services.
Step 3
As for all other companies that provide their customers with the opportunity to receive notification messages on a mobile phone, the algorithm for connecting the service may be different. For example, to set up SMS communication in the "Mobile Agent" service (agent.mail.ru), you need to do the following:
• In the settings menu, select "add contact for calls and SMS";
• Enter the number in the opened form for filling;
• Press the "send" button.
Now you can both send text messages using the service and receive them from users of the system.
