Trouble-free operation of your printer can only be ensured with proper care. For each specific model, the procedure for replacing the cartridge may be slightly different, but the general principles are the same.

Instructions

Step 1

Familiarize yourself with the device of the continuous ink supply system (CISS), which is equipped with an inkjet printer. This system supplies ink to the print head from special reservoirs. CISS includes ink tanks, as well as a silicone loop with cartridges that do not have traditional fillers. The ink supply system is sealed, the vacuum in it is equalized by the flow of ink into the cartridges from the containers.

Step 2

Remove the printed panel of the inkjet printer. Use a screwdriver to pry the corner of the panel and lift it lightly by the edge. Remove the white outline by pulling it down and out, and release it from the latches. Remove the two screws at the front of the printer and the three screws at the back. Now detach the side panel.

Step 3

Install the continuous ink system ribbon cable. Turn on the printer first. Wait for the carriage to move out of the parking spot and into the center of the printer. Then turn off the power by pulling out the power cord. Disconnect the cartridges. Now open the cover on the right and insert the CISS ribbon cable into the printer through a special technical hole. Attach a retaining clip to the ribbon cable and pass the ribbon cable to the printer carriage.

Step 4

Remove labels from all cartridges. Using the drill included in the repair kit, enlarge the holes in the cartridges to 4 mm. Install silicone seals in the holes. On the black ink cartridge, attach the clip to hold the ribbon. Put the corners on the flex cable and connect it to the cartridges.

Step 5

Install the cartridges into the printer by routing the continuous ink supply system ribbon cable into the retaining clip. Observe the order of the colors.

Step 6

Install the retaining clip inside the printer to secure the CISS ribbon cable. Bring the ribbon out to the right and secure. Adjust the length of the ink supply system cable so that it does not kink or sag. Now, finally put the panel and the white stroke in place.
