Very often people are faced with situations when it is necessary to identify an operator by a phone number. This is due to the fact that most operators provide various preferential rates that allow cheap or free calls within their network. Therefore, it is worth making sure to which of the operators this or that number belongs, and at what rate you can call it.
Instructions
Step 1
There are several ways to identify an operator by phone. To get started, use the help of the Internet: go to one of the sites (for example, https://sbinfo.ru/operator.php or https://mtsoft.ru/abcdef), which provide the ability to calculate by the phone number not only the operator, but also the area in which a specific subscriber number was registered
Step 2
Remember the codes of the three most popular operators in Russia: MTS, Beeline and Megafon. They have been allocated many more codes than other Russian operators combined. So, look at the DEF-code of the number, that is, the first three digits. The MTS operator corresponds to the numbers in the intervals 910-919 and 980-988. The Beeline operator can be identified by the following numbers: 903, 905, 909 and 960-964. If at the beginning of the number you see codes in the range 920-931 or the number 937, then this number belongs to the Megafon operator. All other operators have only seven three-digit codes, including the following: 901, 902, 904, 908, 950-952. Most of the codes are in the GSM format. This situation has arisen because the overwhelming number of subscribers use this type of communication.
Step 3
In addition, find special programs on the Internet that allow you to determine the operator and the region where the person is located by the mobile phone number. For example, the Phone Wizard or DEF applications allow you to find the number of any user, no matter which operator he belongs to.
Step 4
You can also check the phone number on the Internet using the databases of cellular operators. There you will find the most complete and accurate list of dialing codes for each operator and region. This is especially necessary for operators who use generic DEF codes. For example, Tele2 in the GSM network uses the codes 908, 904, 950-952, and the SkyLink operator in the CDMA network uses the code 901. Thus, there are plenty of ways to identify the operator by phone number. Choose the most convenient for you and always be aware of which operator you are dealing with.
