Decide for what purpose you are looking for a phone. Choose a regular device if you are only interested in mobile communication, sending messages and listening to music. If you spend a lot of time on the Internet, read books, play games, a smartphone is for you. If you want a small computer in your pocket, you need a communicator.

Choose a look. The classic shape is a rectangle with a screen and a keyboard on the front side. Usually medium in size, with a not very large screen. A clamshell is a small, miniature phone folded in half, protected from unwanted button presses. Also see if there is a headphone jack. Some phone models have a built-in FM receiver. The presence of a Bluetooth module will allow you to exchange photos and music tracks with other phones and devices that also have Bluetooth. The ability to connect to the Internet is an important factor when choosing a phone for a modern person. WAP, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi - all these are possible modules for Internet access.

See what additional features your phone has. Most traditionally have a number of functions: calculator, alarm clock, notepad, diary. Some models may have built-in GPS - receiver, flashlight, TV tuner.
