Typically, a webcam is used to transmit a video signal over the Internet. Thanks to this feature, you can communicate with your loved ones and friends, seeing their face, even if you are separated by great distances. However, sometimes you need to take a photo with a webcam.
Instructions
Step 1
Whatever web camera you have, built into a laptop or being an additional device, you can take a photo through it thanks to a special program that usually comes with the equipment on a disk.
Step 2
If you have an HP laptop, use the HP Camera software. Find it through the "Start" panel, run and select the photo quality settings (size, contrast, brightness) that you need. Click on the camera image and your photo will be saved in the folder you specified in the settings.
Step 3
To take a picture of yourself with a webcam on an Asus laptop, you can use the preinstalled Asus Camera Screen Saver utility.
Step 4
To get a photo from a Samsung laptop web camera, it is better to use programs that are not provided in the kit. To do this, download one of the utilities6 "WebcamMax", "Crystal Eye", "OrbiCam". All of them have an interface that is understandable even to inexperienced users, so they will make it easy to get photos from any web camera.
Step 5
You can also take a photo on almost any laptop or computer by opening the Scanners and Cameras folder, find your webcam and click the Capture button. Next to the device image, you can see the resulting photo. Click on it, and going to the "Next" section, give the photo a name and a folder to save the file.
Step 6
If you managed to take a photo with a web camera, you can change it in any graphic editor. For this, both elementary "Paint" and more advanced "Adobe Photoshop" can be used.
