Instructions
Step 1
Please visit the Samsung official website. Open the download category and fill out the form provided. Be sure to check the exact model name of your TV. Go to the list of available files.
Step 2
Click the Downloads and Documentation button. Open the "Firmware" tab. Download the latest software available on the website.
Step 3
Start preparing your USB drive. It is from it that the firmware update will be performed. Make sure the TV can read information from a drive of this size.
Step 4
Format the flash card. Use the FAT16 or FAT32 file system. Many TV models do not work with NTFS structure in the context of firmware update. Open the file downloaded from the site. It should be a self-extracting archive. Extract the files to the root directory of the drive.
Step 5
Remove the flash card from the computer. Connect the device to the switched off TV. Turn on the equipment and wait for the USB flash drive to be scanned. It is worth noting that if there is a USB port marked Serv in the TV case, you must use it.
Step 6
Once the firmware files are automatically detected, a new menu will appear prompting you to update the firmware. Press the "Yes" button using the remote control.
Step 7
If the TV turned on normally, open the service menu yourself and go to the "Software update" item. Select the port to which the flash card is connected.
Step 8
Wait until the TV turns off automatically. Remove the USB storage device from the device. Turn on the TV and make sure the equipment is stable.
