When installing applications on smartphones of the latest Symbian generation, device users face a certification problem. All programs that request access to the smartphone's FS and try to independently connect to the Internet must obtain permission. You can sign programs using special utilities for a computer or smartphone, but for this you first need to obtain your own certificate.

- - a certificate for signing applications;
- - SisSigner for computer or FreeSigner for phone.
Instructions
Step 1
After receiving a personal certificate, you can use two ways to subscribe applications. If you want to certify your programs on a computer, download the SisSigner application archive and unzip it.
Step 2
Run the installation file of the program and follow the instructions of the installer. Once the installation is complete, copy the archive's cert folder to the application directory.
Step 3
Copy your received certificate and key to the SisSigner directory. Run the program file and specify the path to your key key, the cer certificate and the password for the key file (the default value is "12345678").
Step 4
Then provide the path to the smartphone app file. Click the "Sign" button and wait until the end of the procedure. You can install a certified program to your phone.
Step 5
To sign applications directly from your phone, install the FreeSigner utility. Copy your personal certificate and key to your phone's file system. Go to the "Features" -> "Options" menu and select the Sign Cert item, where select the location of the corresponding files. Do not enter anything in the Sign key pass item.
Step 6
Go to the main program window and select "Options" -> "Add task". Select the application file you want to sign and go to Options -> Add. Select the Sign Sis action.
Step 7
Click "Options" -> "Start" and wait for the end of the signature. The selected programs can be considered certified.
