When building houses, many people make wall blocks at home. One of the most difficult jobs in this case is the manufacture of mortar and concrete for laying the foundation and walls. For relief, it is best to use a concrete mixer that can be powered either by electricity or by hand.

Necessary

hopper, mixer shaft, blades, hopper tipping handle, suspension bearings, concrete mixer shaft bearings, bearing housing, frame, limiter, suspension, electric motor, worm gear, electric motor platform suspension loop

Instructions

Step 1

Take a 200 L barrel, it is required for mixing the mixture. Drill holes in the center of the covers to fit the shaft. Then, with a grinder, cut off 1/3 of its diameter from the barrel. Weld two A-shaped supports from the steel corners. Leave a distance between them, which is slightly more than the length of the bin, connect them with pieces of reinforcement. Weld two pieces of reinforcement onto the back shoulder of the legs, and one on the front, at the very bottom. Place the concrete unloading box under the drum in front. For foundation work, place a trough with a slope under the barrel to drain the concrete into the trench.

Step 2

Assemble two housings with bearings. Install two bearings in each of them, which have the same outer diameters, but different inner diameters. When there are no bearings with different inner diameters, then you should take four identical bearings, and insert the drive shaft of the concrete mixer into the bearing through the bushing. Place the pipe sections in bearings with a large inner diameter, this will be the hopper suspension. Weld one end of the hanger to the hopper. This is required to make it easier to turn the hopper when unloading the concrete. Thanks to the bearing block, the concrete mixer shaft is not triggered and the holes in the hopper lids are not triggered.

Step 3

Insert the shaft into the inner bearings. It must go through the pendants. Weld four light blades onto the shaft. Make them from corners measuring 25 x 25 mm and position so as not to leave mortar at the bottom of the hopper. Leave a minimum gap of about 1-2 mm between the wall of the hopper and the blades. Due to the fact that most of the mass passes through the frames of the concrete mixer, the electric motor operates at low load. Therefore, a single-phase electric motor with capacitors can be used. The shaft rotation speed should be about 48 rpm, otherwise the solution will spray out at high speeds. The types of gear and motor can be different. Select shaft revolutions due to the diameters of the pulleys. To connect to the network, an IE-9901 machine is used. The belt is tensioned by the weight of the electric motor, thereby protecting the electric motor from overloading. This concrete mixer can be used not only by electricity, but also by hand. To do this, you need to attach a wheel or a handle for rotation to the shaft.
