By default, smartphones running the Android operating system store several standard ringtones for use as a ringtone. If the user wants to set an individual ringtone, he can do it himself with a series of simple steps.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide which method of setting a custom ringtone is the most appropriate. In total, there are two fundamentally different approaches. The first one involves downloading the required melody to a personal computer, using it to create a special folder on the smartphone, copying the downloaded melody to this folder and several clicks in the smartphone interface. The second approach allows you to do without a computer, but requires the installation of any file manager on the smartphone. If the required music file has already been downloaded to the memory of your mobile device or to a memory card, you can go straight to the second method.
Step 2
So, to set an individual ringtone using a personal computer, first of all, download the desired ringtone to your PC. The source can be any: Internet, optical disc, flash drive, etc. The main thing is that the file format is readable by a smartphone, so it is better to choose the most common one, for example,.mp3.
Step 3
When the desired melody is selected and downloaded to your computer, connect your smartphone to it using a USB cable. After connecting, the phone should appear in the explorer as a regular flash drive.
Step 4
Next, find a folder with the name Notifications in the built-in memory of your smartphone or on a memory card through your PC. If there is no such folder, you must create it yourself.
Step 5
Then copy the desired melody to Notifications. After that, it will appear in the list of standard ringtones in the corresponding section of the smartphone interface. If something doesn't work out, you can always try an alternative method, without using a PC.
Step 6
To set an individual melody as a ringtone without a computer, download any file manager on the Google Play service. For example, the ES Explorer application will do.
Step 7
After installing the manager, download the desired musical composition to your smartphone from the Internet or download it from any suitable device.
Step 8
Then launch "ES Explorer", find the downloaded melody with it and set it as a ringtone. For this, the program has all the necessary options. This method is much simpler than the previous one, but not so convenient when working with a large number of files.
