Rewind is needed to quickly jump through positions in the playlist or along the length of the track being played. It varies depending on the software of the devices.
Instructions
Step 1
To rewind a song or movie in the player, use the menu buttons on the front panel of the device or buttons on the remote control. Rewind buttons are usually marked with a left and right double arrow icon. To rewind the position, press the rewind arrow button once.
Step 2
To fast forward, press the right arrow button accordingly. If you want to rewind only part of a video or audio recording, press and hold one of these buttons for a while. The same applies to programs installed on computers, mobile and portable devices for watching movies and listening to music.
Step 3
Note that rewinding a part of a song or video is not always available by pressing and holding the arrow buttons. If you have a multimedia player installed on your computer, use the moving pointer to scroll through the recording positions. Some programs even have the ability to view the exact time of the track to move the pointer.
Step 4
If you want to rewind an audio or video in the browser player, check that the position you want to rewind to has already been loaded. Some sites support rewinding the video by simply moving the pointer, regardless of whether the recording has been fully downloaded. For audio files, this type of rewind is rarely available online.
Step 5
To rewind along the length of the flash file, use the special software for elements with the.swf extension, which contains additional functions for working with them, since ordinary browsers and ordinary flash players, which are usually used to open, do not support this action.
