Step 1
Select a TV antenna. To do this, you need to find out which TV channels are broadcast in your locality and on which broadcasting ranges. The last parameter is presented in three versions: the first meter, the second meter and decimeter. The best choice is one that receives signals from all three bands. Check with the seller for this option or read the instructions for the device.
Step 2
Purchase your selected TV antenna model from a specialty store or radio market. Buy a drop cable of the required length and a plug for connecting to a TV here.
Step 3
Determine where you will install the TV antenna. As a rule, it is located on the roof. Attach the support bracket to the selected location. If the house has an iron roof, then put rubber under the structure of the appropriate size, which can be nailed or screwed in.
Step 4
Open the TV preamplifier on the TV antenna. Strip the outer insulation of the cable. Insert the wire into the special hole and tighten the center contacts with a screwdriver. In this case, the shielding film must be located under the clamp. Clamp it, make sure that the braid does not come into contact with the contacts of the center wire. Attach the TV antenna to the support mast.
Step 5
Place the support mast in an upright position. The TV antenna should be directed towards the nearest TV center. Using a wire or electrical tape, attach the drop cable to it, which you can stretch to the attic of the house through a specially made hole, which is sealed with sealant.
Step 6
Pull the cable towards the window and make a small hole in the wall of the appropriate size. Lead the end of the cable into the house and lead to the location of the TV.
Step 7
Strip the downstream cable and connect to the plug. Then connect it to your TV. Tune TV channels and enjoy watching.
