Step 1
First, install the mobile client on your phone. For Nokia phones, there are two main options for performing this process. Download the jimm.jar file from an available service on the Internet using a mobile browser. Use the site https://jimm.org.ru/download.html for this.
Step 2
If you already have this file on your PC, install Nokia PC Suite. Connect your phone to your computer via the USB port using a special cable. Select the operating mode of the PC Suite mobile device. Open the program and go to the "Install Applications" menu.

Specify the required jar file and click the "Install" button. Disconnect your phone from your computer and restart your mobile device. Set up your internet connection. Check its activity by launching an available mobile browser.
Step 4
Activate the use of this GPRS Internet access profile for Java applications. Go to the Applications menu and open your mobile client. Go to the Settings menu and open the Network submenu. Enter login.icq.com in the "Server name" field, and 5190 in the "Port" field. Set the connection type to "Socket" and activate the "Maintain connection" item.
Step 5
In the submenu "Connection settings" activate the following items: "Secure login", "Asynchronous transfer" and "Additional connection". Return to the Settings menu and select the Account submenu. Enter your UIN and password. Open the Alerts menu and select the options for the phone to ring.
Step 6
Save the settings, return to the main menu of the Jimm program and select the "Connection" item. Confirm several activation of the connection with the server. For some versions of phones, it is recommended to disable the function of saving the history of correspondence. This reduces the load on the mobile device, allowing Jimm to run a little faster.
