The built-in browser of a Samsung cell phone has a rather meager set of functions. You can improve the device's compatibility with modern websites by installing the Opera Mini browser on it. This requires the phone to support the J2ME standard.
Instructions
Step 1
Check which access point (APN) is set in the mobile internet settings on your phone. To do this, first launch the built-in browser: "Applications" - "Browser". Then in the menu that appears, select "Settings" - "Connection profiles".
Step 2
Select the first of the profiles and find the "Access Point" field. It should contain internet.mts.ru if you use the services of the MTS operator, or internet.beeline.ru if you are a Beeline subscriber, or just internet if you are connected to Megafon. Having found out that the name of the access point begins not with internet, but with wap, call the operator's support service and ask to send an SMS message with the correct settings. Provide not only the name of the manufacturer of the device (Samsung), but also the exact model number. Also ask the consultant for the cost of the unlimited Internet access service. If it suits you, activate this service. There is also a cheaper service that does not charge only the traffic generated by the Opera Mini browser. But then the download of files will be charged in the usual way, even if it is carried out by this browser.
Step 3
When the message arrives, open it, then enter the code 1234, and if it does not work - 12345. After that, check again that the access point is configured correctly.
Step 4
Unplug and plug your phone back on. Launch the built-in browser again, and then go to the following site: https://m.opera.com. Your machine model will be detected automatically, otherwise specify it manually. Follow the download link and when it's finished, close the built-in browser.
Step 5
Go to the "Games" and "Applications" menu folders. The Opera Mini browser icon will be in one of them. Launch it and start working on the Internet.
Step 6
Opera Mini and Opera Mobile versions of the browsers are available for Samsung phones on Android platform, which do not require a "layer" in the form of a Java interpreter. They work much faster than usual. If the device works on the Bada platform, you will have to install a version of the browser designed for J2ME - Bada provides backward compatibility with this standard.
