A wave of SMS spam has swept the networks of mobile operators. Advertisements carry a heap of unnecessary information and accumulate in the phone's memory useless burden. There is no reliable protection against spammers. All that remains is to maintain safety on your own so as not to fall into the clutches of an SMS spammer.
Necessary
- - software;
- - instructions for a mobile phone.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to avoid spammers and getting into their databases, be careful and do not leave your data on unprotected sites. A social network profile, registration on the forum, posting in the comments - all this information that is publicly available on the Internet helps spammers do their job effectively. Carefully consider the safety of the site, which requires SMS confirmation for registration and full use of materials. Select and install a program on your computer that will allow you to determine the security of the Internet connection, the reliability of the resource itself, and its information security. This is especially true for online stores, whose sites are often whipped up and therefore easily hacked. And the entire database of customers who leave their cell phone numbers for communication goes to spammers.
Step 2
Having received another SMS advertising intimate services or quick computer help, call the hotline of the mobile operator. The whole world, not only Russia, suffers from annoying SMS spam, therefore, global programs are being created to unite the efforts of various operators in an unequal fight against this annoying phenomenon. The "Big Three" Russian companies providing cellular services (Megafon, MTS and Beeline) announced the presence of their own anti-spam programs and filters, but the effectiveness of the measures taken is still a big question.
Step 3
Use a program for a cell phone that creates a filter of numbers from which SMS are received. This solution is most effective, however, it also has some disadvantages. There is still no program that would prohibit all phone numbers except those known to the user. It can only prohibit repeated SMS from a suspicious number, however, as you know, spammers like to send advertisements from different cell numbers.
