All modern mobile phones have a security function that allows you to use the device only after entering the appropriate pin code. It is provided with a SIM card and can be entered by the user independently through the phone settings.
Instructions
Step 1
Read the instructions that come with your mobile operator's SIM card. Find the meaning of your PIN and PUK code. The first is used to gain access to the use of SIM card services, and the second is intended in case the phone is blocked when the first password is entered incorrectly three times. Remember these values or keep them in a safe place.
Step 2
Insert the SIM card into your mobile phone. To do this, you need to open the back panel, take out the battery and find a special connector. Some recent phone models make it much easier to do this through special compartments.
Step 3
Press the Call button on your phone to turn it on. After a while, a menu will appear in which you must enter the activation PIN, which was indicated on the package of the SIM card. For example, for MTS subscribers it is equal to 0000. Press the "Ok" button. If you enter this code incorrectly three times in a row, it will appear that the device is locked.
Step 4
In order to unblock the mobile, you need to enter the PUK code. Typically 10 attempts are given to indicate it correctly. If you make a mistake this time, the SIM card will be completely blocked.
Step 5
Change the standard PIN-code in the phone, which is initially the same for all subscribers. To do this, go to the "Menu" of the mobile device and go to the "Settings" section. Find an item related to safety. He may name differently for different models, but the essence will be the same. Go to the item "Change PIN". First, the system will ask you to enter your current password, after which you need to specify a new combination twice. It should be easy to remember for you.
Step 6
Check if the entered PIN is correct. To do this, turn off and on the phone, and then enter a new password.
