Apple's new operating system iOS 7 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch will only be available in the fall. But already now, at the height of summer, you can try its new functions and capabilities "for yourself". Apple has released iOS 7 Beta X every two weeks, starting with the development presentation in San Francisco at WWDC 2013. This name hides the so-called "unfinished" versions of the mobile OS, intended primarily for developers and testers of applications. However, this does not prevent you from installing iOS 7 Beta X on any supported Apple smartphone or tablet.
Necessary
Latest version of iTunes, computer, iPhone, USB cable for smartphone, IPSW firmware file
Instructions
Step 1
First, make sure you have at least 2GB of free space on your computer's hard drive. Download and install the current version of the iTunes media combiner on the official website of the "apple" company:
Step 2
Search the Internet and download the IPSW firmware file. Its size is about 1 GB. Beta versions of iOS 7 are posted on the iModZone website: https://imzdl.com/. You can also find IPSW firmware on many domestic and foreign torrent trackers by entering its name into any of the search engines. The firmware must match your device: for example, the iPhone 4 will not work with the iPhone 4S firmware, and the iPhone 5 GSM will not work with the iPhone 5 CDMA version of the operating system.
Step 3
After the firmware file has been successfully downloaded to your PC or Mac, launch iTunes and connect your iPhone to your computer using the proprietary USB cable that came with the device.
Step 4
On the working screen in iTunes, press the "Refresh" button while holding down Shift on the keyboard (if necessary, select the icon with the inscription "iPhone" in the upper right corner of the screen). If your computer is running Mac OS X instead of Windows, hold down the Alt key on your keyboard instead of Shift.
Step 5
In the dialog box that appears, select the firmware file that you downloaded two points earlier. Click the "Open" button or double-click on it with the left mouse button.
Step 6
Now do not disconnect the cable from the USB port or pull the cord out of the smartphone. Dumping and downloading iOS 7 Beta X to iPhone begins. The process can take about 40 minutes. The screen at this time will display the corporation logo and loading bar. The display can blink, and the device itself goes into sleep mode and reboots. At the end of the firmware, a greeting will be displayed on the phone screen. Congratulations! You've got a fully working iOS 7 beta on your phone!
