Instructions
Step 1
Regardless of which function of the phone you want to set a password for, all actions of this kind can be performed in the profile section on the device. To get to this section, you need to follow these steps.
Step 2
Open the main menu of your mobile phone. Here you will find the "Options" icon (this icon may also be called "Settings"). Open this section. After that, find the "Security" menu in it. This menu allows you to set passwords for the following actions: turning on the phone, using a SIM card, accessing individual sections of the phone (messages, contacts, calls, and multimedia). Note that not all phones provide for setting a password for various sections, limiting themselves only to setting a code for using a SIM card and turning on the phone.
Step 3
Go to the "Security" section, then select the item you need to set a password. If you want to restrict the use of the SIM card, you will need a PIN code (it is indicated on the plastic SIM case). If you need to put a password for turning on the phone and its certain sections, you need to enter the appropriate code (by default, this code looks like four ones, or four zeros).
Step 4
After you set a password on your cell phone, you will need to enter the preset code to perform certain phone functions. This function is relevant in a situation when the user wants to restrict the access of other people to the phone.
