Google has shown a photo and video of the glasses of the future. Although lab work on the new product is still ongoing, it has been announced that the final version of the glasses will appear in 2012.
The brainchild of the Google X Experimental Lab was first presented in April 2012 at the annual conference in San Francisco. At the demonstration of the developer's version of the gadget glasses, two possibilities were demonstrated - video recording and animation display.
Google Glas - this is the name of the new product, represents the world's first glasses with the function of connecting to the Internet. They can work as a video camera, transmit and receive video information over the network, and take photographs. The demo, for example, showed an animation of fireworks with a changing angle depending on the movement of the head.
The presentation clearly and vividly showed how you can look at the world through the eyes of another person with the help of future glasses. The audience was dumbfounded. A group of parachutists landed on the roof of the building where the forum was held. At the same time, cameras built into the goggles transmitted the gaze of the parachutists from jump to landing in real time on a huge screen located in the conference hall. Then the cyclists took the baton, delivered the glasses to the hall, and those present saw their entire ride on the screen.
The use of these glasses in practice means that everything you see can be seen by millions of people in the same second. Other communication capabilities of the glasses of the future include the transmission of voice and written messages without the help of a mobile phone, scheduling meetings, and navigation.
The display, which displays information for the user, is located just above the eyes, and does not interfere with the review of reality. So far, the founder of the company, Sergey Brin, estimated the cost of the gadget glasses at $ 1,500. Experts believe that for successful mass sales on the market, their price should not be more than $ 500.
