Children love to play various games - constructors, creating masterpieces with their own hands. They especially like model toys that can be controlled remotely. You can assemble these yourself, but it is advisable to purchase a constructor that can be assembled according to ready-made instructions. Otherwise, you may face a number of problems if you have no idea how to collect such toys.

Necessary

Engine, radio equipment, gyroscope, starter, starter battery, step meter, power panel, screwdriver, plastic box, lever for control panel, carrying mechanism

Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to decide what type of engine you will install in your helicopter model. By far the most acceptable is the electric motor, as it runs on batteries, although there are petrol-powered models. But those who are fond of modeling with experience. In addition, an electric helicopter is easier to lift into the air with a single press of the throttle button. But it should be understood that not every motor will lift your structure. Therefore, the choice of engine power depends on the materials from which you made the helicopter.

Step 2

Next, you should select the type of fuselage. It can be a training version with an open fuselage or with hidden mechanics. It should be understood that the elements of the electric drive of the model are attached here. If you choose the first option, then the control equipment is hidden under a modest streamlined cockpit. This is the base of the structure, to which the tail pieces and landing gear are then attached. Fuselage models with closed mechanics are more difficult to perform, since it is advisable to make them from dense or fiberglass, which is unrealistic at home.

Step 3

The greatest difficulty, but also the basis of the radio-controlled model, is the load-bearing mechanics. It includes a system for transmitting torque, starting and cooling the engine, control of the propeller pitch. It is very difficult to assemble them yourself, so it is advisable to purchase a whole mechanism, if not a whole helicopter. So, to obtain a bearing mechanism, it is necessary to connect a centrifugal clutch with gearboxes of various types - from single-stage to two-stage with a belt drive to simplify the task. Gearboxes should be selected taking into account the speed of the screw. These indicators, of course, depend on the power of the engine and the stability of the carrier system, but must correspond to the total mass of the structure.

Step 4

Next, you should select and install the engine starting system. The choice of such depends on the features of the location of the unit. Considering that most often the engine is installed vertically, the following starting system is often used: the drive shaft is lengthened. It ends with a cone and a device for coupling with the starter.

Step 5

The next stage in the design of the helicopter is the assembly of the tail rotor drive. For this, another stage is connected to the engine through the main gearbox. Further, a remote drive in the form of a toothed belt and a tail gear are attached to it.

Step 6

After that, proceed with the installation of step control systems. If this is a fixed pitch system, you will make the whole process much easier for yourself, since the design of the main rotor head is quite simple. You can connect radio equipment with 4-5 channels to it and enjoy the control of the model. At the same time, it will not be easy to manage such a model, and it will not work at all to show your skills. There is still a possibility to establish a collective step system. In this case, management will be simplified.

Step 7

All that remains is to close the case or fasten the parts, install the batteries and enjoy the control of the helicopter.
