If the sound of the engine and the rustling of the wheels drown out the sounds of music in your favorite domestically produced car, this suggests that it is time to put in a more powerful amplifier. You can connect it yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Examine the trunk. Choose a place in it that you think is the most suitable for installing the amplifier. If you want to connect an amplifier to a VAZ, then you can consider installing it in the back of the rear seat. To do this, you will need to cut out a niche of the desired size, cover it with a soft cloth so as not to damage the contacts and the amplifier case, and then use self-tapping screws to firmly fix the amplifier to the rear seat frame.
Step 2
Make a power plus. To do this, you need a cable with a cross section of at least 6 square millimeters. If this is not currently available, you can buy it at any car market in the auto electronics department. To connect the amplifier, run the power cable through the trunk. Connect it to the positive terminal of your car battery beforehand.
Step 3
Inspect the bulkhead separating the engine compartment from the passenger compartment. If it has a hole of a suitable diameter, run a cable through it. If not, take a drill and drill a small hole. Then take the rubber grommet, put it on the cable to seal its connection with the car body, to prevent chafing of the insulation. For this purpose, you can also use insulating tape.
Step 4
Make a power minus. To do this, you need a cable of the same cross section. Connect it with one end to the amplifier, and with the other, tie it to any bolt screwed directly into the metal body of the car. Connect the power-on wire of the amplifier to the radio.
Step 5
Please note that wires with tulip connectors must run from the amplifier to the radio. They are designed for signal transmission. From each amplifier channel, run one two-wire cable for each speaker installed in the passenger compartment.
Step 6
Observe polarity. If there is nothing to check it, when testing the sound, pay attention to which way the speaker cones are working. If they are pushed out, then you were able to connect the amplifier in the car correctly. If vice versa, i.e. are pulled inward, swap the contacts.
