There are several techniques for getting rid of the unpleasant noise of the system unit. Considering the fact that fans are its main cause, it is necessary to correctly adjust the parameters of their operation.
Necessary
- - AMD Over Drive;
- - SpeedFan.
Instructions
Step 1
First, identify the fan that is making an unpleasant noise. To do this, open the system unit and examine the condition of the coolers. Look at which device the noisy fan is attached to.
Step 2
If your computer uses an Intel processor, download and install the SpeedFan program. Run this utility. First, change the language of the program menu. Click the Configure button to open an additional menu. Now go to Options. Find the Language field and set it to Russian.
Step 3
Now look at the readings of the temperature sensors. Find the equipment to which the fan is attached that you want to slow down. If the temperature of this device is within acceptable limits, then several times press the "Down" button opposite the speed indicator of the required cooler. Now click the Minimize button. Do not under any circumstances reduce the fan speed if the temperature of the equipment exceeds the permissible limits.
Step 4
If the computer has an AMD processor, then it is wiser to use the AMD Over Drive program. Download it from the site www.ati.com. Install and run this application. Wait for the analysis of the connected equipment to complete
Step 5
Use the CPU Status and GPU Status menus to assess the thermal conditions of the CPU and video card. If temperatures fluctuate within normal limits, open the Fan Control menu. In this menu, all fans are numbered, but there is no description of the equipment to which they are attached. Move the slider of the first fan and click the Apply button. Visually assess the change in the rotational speed of the blades of one of the fans.
Step 6
Carry out a similar procedure to increase or decrease the speed of other coolers. Click the Apply button each time to apply the changes to the settings.
