Necessary

antenna, TV, bracket, rope perforator, hammer, screwdrivers, spanners and adjustable wrenches of the required size

Instructions

Step 1

Follow all safety precautions. Remember that you are doing work related to height and electricity. If you have even the slightest doubt that you will be able to cope with the installation of the antenna yourself, then it is better to contact the professionals.

Step 2

Choose a suitable location for the antenna. It should be located in a southern direction (south or southwest), while in front of it there should be no obstacles - high-rise buildings, large trees. If the layout of your apartment allows you to orient the antenna in this way, then hang it on the balcony. If this is not possible, mount the antenna on the roof.

Step 3

Prepare tools - punch, hammer, screwdrivers, spanners and adjustable wrenches of the correct size. Make sure you bought the antenna with all the accessories. If some details are missing, you should notice it before starting the installation, not during it.

Step 4

You need to start work by installing the bracket. Mark a spot on the wall, use a punch to drill the holes and fix the bracket. Check if it is firmly in place.

Step 5

Assemble the antenna strictly according to the instructions. Make sure that there is no mechanical damage to the antenna mirrors, this will deteriorate the quality of the received signal. Its quality is also affected by the location of the satellite converter. Act empirically - turn the converter around the axis until the signal is maximum. Lock it in this position. Tie a belay rope to the antenna in case it falls out of your hands. Hang the antenna on the bracket.

Step 6

Run the cable towards the antenna. The channel for laying should be 1-2 mm wider than the wire, so as not to damage the outer sheath of the cable during its output. Then use sealant to seal the holes. Place the cable so that it does not interfere with movement, avoid sharp and frequent kinks, place the fasteners at a distance of no more than 75 cm if the routes are located vertically, and no more than 23 cm if they are located horizontally.

Step 7

Set up and check the operation of the antenna according to the instructions. If the signal is weak, it may be that you have chosen the wrong location or angle for the antenna. Try turning it until the signal is optimal. In this position, tighten all adjustable fasteners until they stop.
