Instructions

Step 1

Purchase a special fluid from a motoring store that is used to flush radiators. You will also need a synthetic brush to clean the outside of the device. Some motorists recommend using a folk remedy to flush the inside of the radiator. It is made from a mixture of one part of whey and ten parts of pure water.

Step 2

Schedule a date for a preventive check of the heater radiator. This should be done in the warm season, shortly before the first frost. This will allow you to prepare for cold weather in time and carry out cleaning without problems.

Step 3

Start by cleaning the radiator externally. To do this, use a synthetic brush and soapy water. After the surface has been cleaned, rinse it with clean water and let the radiator dry.

Step 4

Proceed with the internal flushing of the heater radiator. Unscrew the valve on the device and discard all liquid. Use a hose for this. After the water stops flowing, take the purchased radiator flush fluid and pour it inside. Tighten the valve tightly and leave the device to “soak” for about half an hour.

Step 5

Drain the flushing fluid and thoroughly rinse the inside of the heater radiator under clean running water. It is necessary to pour water inside until the rusty liquid stops flowing out.

Step 6

You can also use a karcher or other high pressure device to flush the radiator, but you must be extremely careful with the settings.

Step 7

Drain all water from the heater radiator that was used to clean the device. Fill inside with special coolant. Start the car and give it a little gas. If everything is normal, then you can start operating the heating.
