Flowing and storage - these are the two main groups of heaters, between which the owner has to choose, deciding the issue of water supply in the apartment or in the country. The choice most often depends on the technical capabilities.

Instructions

Step 1

The choice of a water heater primarily depends on the personal preferences of the owners, as well as on the capabilities of the electrical network and on the amount of space in the bathroom. The storage boiler takes up a lot of space, the larger its tank, the more space is needed for its installation. Such water heaters save electricity, but the heating time also increases in accordance with the volume of water. You shouldn't worry about wiring with this type of water heaters either. If you accustom yourself to turn on such a water heater in advance, there will be no problem with hot water.

Step 2

Heaters of this type work on the principle of a heated thermos. The volumes of the boiler range from 5 to 100 liters, if this is not enough, there is a possibility of modifying the system and installing an additional tank. It is these heaters that are ideal for an apartment or a holiday village, since they do not require a lot of electricity, and heating water once, keep it warm for a long time. For this, a heat-insulating gasket is provided on the tank. There are also water heating systems in which the tank is equipped with a separator. In such a boiler, instead of the poured water, a new one immediately enters, and the separator prevents mixing of already heated and cold water.

Step 3

Instantaneous water heaters almost completely do not take up space, but a lot of electricity or gas is spent on continuous heating of water, depending on the type of water heater. In order to heat the amount of water required for a shower or bath to an acceptable temperature, you need a device with a power of at least 8 kW. In houses with old, worn-out wiring, it is unsafe to use such wiring, as long as there is a separate and protected network for connecting a water heater.

Step 4

The instantaneous water heater turns on immediately after the tap with water is opened, and also turns off automatically when the water is turned off. But the need for high-power supply makes it almost impossible to install such a device in an apartment, although it was there that it would come in handy with its small size. An unlimited amount of hot water is also a definite plus in favor of an instantaneous heater.

Step 5

As a rule, the price of an instantaneous water heater is significantly lower than that of a boiler. But given how electricity bills will rise, such a purchase still seems questionable as a savings. In any case, the choice is yours.
