Headphones are an essential accessory for the music lover, gamer or Skype chatter. Users using headphones do not disturb anyone with loud sounds, and listening to music from a portable device is possible anywhere. Frequent use of the accessory may cause problems, and in order to correct them, the headphones must be disassembled and repaired.

Step 1
Home repair is possible only if you are confident in your knowledge and can definitely fix the problem. Even so, try to find and study the instructions from the Cosonic headphones or pay attention to the characteristics of your model. There are constructions that cannot be disassembled. You could accidentally break your Cosonic headphones.
Step 2
Take a close look at your headphone model. The external block of the device is usually plastic, and there are speakers inside. The inner side of the earbuds is closed with an elastic soft ring, and there is a foam or synthetic winterizer under it. Under it you can find a metal mesh or a cover. On these grounds, Cosonic headphones are not much different from the device of models from other manufacturers.
Step 3
The entire structure of the headphones can be held by screws or special latches. The latches are usually invisible from the outside. In order to find them, you will have to remove the external elastic ring - the ear cushion.
Step 4
This part can also be glued. Use a thin utility knife to remove it. Peel off gently by cutting between the pad and ear cushions. Pull the elastic ring towards you at the same time. Then find all the latches and press them with your fingers.
Step 5
A metal mesh or a plate under the foam rubber or blue-tepon gasket can be screwed around the entire circumference or only in the middle. Screw caps are hidden by special plugs. They can be removed with a knife and the screws can be unscrewed with a suitable screwdriver.
Step 6
Memorize the location of each plug or draw a diagram for yourself - sign the holes from the screws and plugs with the corresponding numbers. Put them on in the same order at the end of the repair, otherwise they may not adhere well and fly off during operation, causing a rattling sound.
Step 7
If you did not find any plugs or screws, then the device is glued. To disassemble such headphones, you need to take a kitchen knife and carefully separate the parts by prying them over the place of the adhesive joint. Having disassembled all the parts, carefully lay them out on a clean, preferably light-colored cloth. This way you can avoid losing small details and they will be better visible.
