Most modern laptop models come with a built-in webcam that allows you to make video calls. In some cases, for convenience and to improve the picture quality, it may be necessary to flip the image in the built-in camera.
Instructions
Step 1
Check if your webcam is detected by the computer. To do this, install and run one of the video calling programs, such as Skype. Go to options and go to the image settings menu. You will see the name of your webcam and a window in which the image from the device should appear. If there is no image, then the system does not detect the built-in webcam.
Step 2
Right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties. Click on the "Device Manager" button and try to find the name of the webcam or an unknown device marked with an exclamation mark. Select the appropriate item and install the drivers for the webcam in automatic mode, or specify the path to them on the CD or other data carrier. Please note that you will need a special program to manipulate the image, which is usually included in a special installation package. You can find it on the camera manufacturer's website or one of the other sites by searching the Internet for the device name. The webcam application appears in the list of programs on the Start menu.
Step 3
Run the software to configure the camera. Select Video Options or Image Properties. In the window that opens, find a line with a suitable parameter, which, depending on the camera model and the program, will be called Image Mirror Flip, Rotate Image, Image Vertical Flip or "Flip Image". Click on it several times to rotate the camera image at the desired angle. Save the settings, close the program, and start Skype or another application that allows you to perform operations with the webcam. In the video settings, check if the position of the picture on the screen has changed.
