Step 1
Locate the speaker connector on the monitor. It can be of two types - an ordinary connector, such as for headphones in a player or phone, or there may be two inputs that connect to the computer's sound card using a cable with a Jack plug on the other end, but this is more common in old CRT monitors up to 2000 Year of release. However, you can find modern models with such connectors for connecting acoustics; This is mainly typical for monitors with a built-in TV tuner.
Step 2
Connect the cable to the monitor's built-in speaker inputs, following the color scheme. Locate the sound card connectors on the computer system unit. They can be located on the back of the case, on the side or on the keyboard, it all depends on the configuration of your computer. Connectors can be marked with icons depicting headphones and a microphone, the corresponding inscriptions, or simply different colors, mainly pink and green. There are also monitors that also have a headphone output on the front side.
Step 3
Install the sound card driver if not already done. If necessary, install the monitor software (usually not required). After restarting your computer, adjust the volume level in the appropriate menu on the Control Panel, open any audio recording and check the operation of the speakers.
Step 4
Please note that a network connection is always required to play sound from the built-in speakers of the monitor. As convenient as it all is, it is only suitable for office purposes. If you are going to listen to music or watch movies, it is best to use a separate device that can provide you with better sound quality than the speakers built into the monitor, although there are exceptions (mostly in older models).
