Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) is a portable gaming system with direct connection to the Internet and to any computer via USB or wireless. To connect your PSP to your laptop directly or via a secure wireless connection, follow these simple instructions.

Instructions
Step 1
Turn on the Sony Playstation Portable system.
Step 2
Go to the Settings section, then scroll down to the Network Settings option and press the X to enter the network settings menu.
Step 3
Select Infrastructure Mode to set up your internet connection, then select New Connection.
Step 4
Enter a name for the new connection. After you finish entering, select the "Login" option and press the "X" button.
Step 5
Select the Scan option to start scanning for wireless networks. When the scan is complete, the PSP will report any wireless networks in the vicinity.
Step 6
Select your wireless connection from this list and click the "X" button. If the wireless connection is secure, you will be prompted to enter a password or WiFi key. Then press the "Right" button on the manipulator to view the rest of the windows. Press "X" when prompted to save the new connection.
Step 7
For a USB connection, turn on your laptop and PSP game system. When both devices have booted, connect your PSP to your laptop using a USB to mini USB cable.
Step 8
Select the USB mode option on the PSP. Press the "X" button to select an option and "X" again to initiate the USB connection mode.
Step 9
Wait for the laptop to notify you of the new connection. PSP is now available as "External Media" or "Removable Storage Device". You can use this connection to move files from your PSP just as if it were a flash drive or external hard drive. When you're done transferring data, simply press the circle on the PSP to safely disconnect the connection.
