Most modern LG washing machines have a built-in electronic module in their design, which shows a certain code on the display that is generated when the washing machine malfunctions. Thanks to these "error" codes of the washing machine, an ordinary person can, in some cases, fix everything himself without calling a specialist. If you yourself are unable to repair the washing machine, then these fault codes will significantly help reduce the time for troubleshooting the service center specialists.
If the dE code lights up on the electronic display, it means that the loading door is not closed or does not fit snugly against the body. To reset this code, you must re-close the machine door. If this does not help, then the door lock or electronic module is faulty.
The Cl code lights up when the child lock is activated on the washing machine. To exit this mode, hold down the "lock" keys for a couple of seconds.
The IE code signals that no water enters the tank or the tank filling time is more than 4 minutes. The reasons for such a malfunction can be either a banal lack of water in the line or its low pressure, or a breakdown of a water valve or water level sensor.
The PE code will light up on the display if the washing machine has not filled up to the maximum water value in 25 minutes. Reasons: breakdown of the water level sensor or lack of normal pressure in the line.
If the water level in the tank has exceeded the maximum value, then the FE error code appears. Most likely, there is a defect in the water level sensor or water valve.
If the water is not drained from the drum within 5 minutes, the OE code lights up on the display. It indicates a clogged washing machine drain system or a malfunction of the drain pump.
The UE code signals that the drum rotor is out of balance. In 90 percent of cases of such an error, an even distribution of the laundry around the drum helps. If the distribution of laundry did not help, then such an error signals a malfunction of the drum drive. In most cases, the destruction of the bearings on which the drum rotor is installed occurs.
If the water temperature reaches the maximum value, the display will show the TE code. Which indicates a malfunction of the temperature sensor.
The LE code appears when there is a lock error. In 90 percent of cases, such an error occurs when the mains voltage is low. Other malfunctions can be a breakdown of the electric motor or the controller of the washing machine.
If the washing machine motor experiences an overload for 2 minutes, the CE code appears on the display. This error is eliminated by removing some of the laundry from the loading drum and distributing the rest evenly.
If water leaks into the sump, the code E1 will light up. This error indicates that the loading drum is not tight or the connecting hoses are not tight.
If the heating element fails, the HE code lights up. Eliminated by replacing the heating element or its batteries.
