Today, cable TV users are increasingly abandoning it in favor of satellite. Most often this is due to the fact that subscribers are no longer satisfied with the number of cable channels. Installing satellite equipment allows them to get what they want. In addition, satellite TV is the only chance for rural residents to enjoy watching different TV channels.
It is necessary
- - open-end wrench 13 mm;
- - two open-end wrenches 10 mm;
- - crosshead screwdriver;
- - pliers with nippers;
- - a sharp knife;
- - hammer drill with a drill.
Instructions
Step 1
Self-installation of satellite television begins with the purchase of the necessary equipment. But before you buy it, decide on the list of channels that you would like to see. Based on this, select the satellites on which they will be broadcast. The most economical and widespread option is currently considered to be the installation of two antennas for four satellites.
Step 2
Do not forget to also get side mounts - multifeeds. Thanks to them, you can attach not one, but several LNB heads to the antenna at once, which will allow you to tune the antenna to receive channels from several satellites at the same time. For a better signal, choose a larger antenna. Moreover, it will eliminate the occurrence of interference in inclement weather.
Step 3
After deciding on the equipment, choose a suitable place to install it. It should be located in a place easily accessible to you in order to avoid problems with its maintenance in the future. It is best to install satellites on the roof of an apartment building. If this is not possible, you can mount the equipment on the wall of your house near the window.
Step 4
After determining the location, proceed with assembling the antennas. It can be done directly on site, for example on a roof or in an apartment. When choosing the second option, remember that a fully assembled antenna may not fit through the roof exit opening.
Step 5
After assembling the antenna and delivering it to the installation site, secure the brackets for attaching it to the wall using a metal anchor bolt. To do this, attach the bracket to the wall in such a way that nothing interferes with the future antenna. At the same time, your satellite equipment, in turn, should not interfere with already installed neighboring antennas.
Step 6
Mark the holes for the bracket on the wall and drill the holes of the required diameter to a depth that should be slightly more than the length of the anchor itself. After that, insert a metal anchor into it, which should be completely recessed into the hole.
Step 7
When screwing the bracket to the wall, do your best, as during operation they constantly experience vibration due to the winding of the antennas. To keep the antenna in place even after strong winds, the brackets must be firmly fixed to the wall.
Step 8
Now hang the antenna on the bracket and start tuning it. To do this, select the language of the receiver's menu, and then check the version of its firmware. In the search menu, set the time zone, time and select the satellite to enter the necessary settings. After receiving information about the signal strength, tune the antenna. A satellite scan can be performed only after a high signal level is caught. To gain access to viewing all channels, insert an access card to the operator.
