Step 1
First of all, disable the alarm with the key fob. If you notice that this does not always work, then check the batteries. Strong radio interference may be preventing the alarm from working properly. In this case, it will be possible to turn off the siren only from a very close distance, directing the key fob to the sensor with the antenna or to the body where the main power supply is located.
Step 2
If you cannot turn off the alarm with the key fob, use the secret button. It is usually placed next to the safety block in the passenger compartment. If you installed an alarm to order, then the location of the switch is known only to you. After finding the secret button, enter the pin code to turn off the alarm. Usually it is entered by turning on the ignition and pressing the secret button a certain number of times. The correct use of the override button should be detailed in the instructions for your alarm.
Step 3
After turning off the alarm in a regular way using a key fob or a secret button, it is necessary to turn off the power to the device. Open the hood and remove the alarm terminal from the battery. By the way, the reason for the failure of the security system may be a low battery charge. In such a situation, you need to turn off the siren in a regular way and charge the battery.
Step 4
To prevent a faulty alarm from interfering with starting the engine, connect the 2 ignition wires bypassing the alarm system relay. All these procedures will help only in the simplest alarm designs.
