The satellite television system is based on the transmission of a signal from a transponder located on a communication satellite to the subscriber's receiving equipment. Over time, some satellites change their orbit (position) or television channels move from one satellite to another for various reasons. There are several ways to search for missing channels again.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the coordinates of television channels on the official website of the provider. This should be done when using autosearch failed to find half of the channels, since there are no references to their frequencies in the NIT (Network Information Table) packet - a network table that is transmitted on the satellite's reference transponder. Pay channels often have their own NIT. The receiver (receiver) does not play a role here.
Step 2
Find new channels. The search for new channels is different for different satellite receivers, but there are many similarities. Open the menu with the remote control or by pressing the button on the front panel of the tuner. Select the "Installation", "Setup" or "Installation" section. Click the "OK" button. Confirm your intentions by typing the password correctly. These are usually 0000. Click OK.
Step 3
Open “Manual search” or “Channel search” and select a satellite, for example Amos 2/3 4W. The most important thing is to correctly specify the parameters for the satellite receiver to search for satellite channels. Enter these data using the numeric buttons on the tuner's remote control, namely frequency, polarization, bit rate and FEC. For example, for a tuner of GLOBO type, whose remote control has a row of colored buttons at the bottom, first select a transponder, press “OK” and try to find it in the list. If it is not there, then go to the "Edit" mode, then "Add", and only now enter the parameters. Then press the red button - "Transponder Ok".
Step 4
Press the "OK" key to start channel search. After completing the process, "OK" again - to save the found. Then the Exit key - to exit the menu. The registered channels will appear at the bottom of the general channel list. Channels that have already been recorded on this frequency will not be re-registered. After that they can be edited, i.e. transfer to the columns corresponding to them. For example, Music, Movies, News, or Kids.
