Instructions

Step 1

After installing a satellite dish and detecting a signal from a satellite, in order to increase the number of channels on the tuner, be sure to scan the desired transponder, that is, the transmitter on the satellite of interest, using the receiver.

Step 2

Decide on which channel you want to find and on which satellite you should look for it. The main satellites that can be picked up in Russia are Hot bird, Amos and Sirius. Browse the Internet for a list of the channels they provide and select the one you want.

Step 3

Then look in the transponder list for the settings for the various satellite channels. This can be done using this page

Step 4

If the list does not contain the channel or satellite you need, enter the following information into the Internet search service: lingsat 4W or 5e, 53e, 75e, 40e and so on. In the tables on the lingsat, you will see all the information you need to set up a satellite channel.

Step 5

Go to the satellite dish tuner menu and select the section in which the satellite head and receiver settings are located. Select the required transponder from the list or add a new one using the settings found on the Internet.

Step 6

Press the desired button on the remote control to start scanning the transponder. Pay attention to the prompts that appear at the bottom of the screen.

Step 7

You will see a menu with different types of scanning: manual search, blind search, auto scan and so on. For a beginner, it is best to choose auto search and wait while the system finds the channel you need. If the autosearch did not give any results, try to add the settings of the transponder you need to the list manually and repeat the scan.
