The clipboard allows you to transfer data both from one place to another within the application, and from one application to another. Control it with a mouse or keyboard. The second is much more convenient, but requires memorizing a few simple commands.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the fragment with which you are going to manipulate. To do this, use either the mouse arrow while holding down its left button, or the cursor keys together with the Shift key (when selecting text fragments).
Step 2
If you need to select several fragments of an image at once, while in almost any raster graphics editor, first select the first of them with the mouse, then, pressing and holding the Control key, select the rest.
Step 3
To place a fragment in the clipboard, either use the Copy item in the Edit menu, or invoke the right-click context menu in which use the item with the same name, or press the Control and Insert keys at the same time, or press the Ctrl and C keys at the same time (Latin).
Step 4
To clipboard while deleting it from its original location, either select Cut from the Edit menu or the context menu, or press Control + X (Latin) or Shift + Delete.
Step 5
To place a fragment in the clipboard to another location, move the cursor to it, then either select the "Paste" item from the "Edit" menu or the context menu, or press Control + V or Shift + Insert. If you are using a graphics editor, select the place where you are going to place the fragment not before the insertion operation, but after it.
Step 6
Sometimes it is very convenient to select the entire document at once with one manipulation. To do this, select the "Select All" item in the "Edit" menu or the context menu, or press Control + A (Latin).
Step 7
Remember that the fragment will be inserted only if the type of information in the buffer (text, graphic, or other) is supported by the application into which the insertion is carried out.

In Windows, try copying and moving files in the same way.
Step 9
In the Linux operating system, also use the second clipboard. Unlike the first, which works as described above, the second only requires selecting a fragment, then moving the mouse cursor to the desired location and pressing the middle button (or wheel) of the manipulator. This clipboard works only with text fragments. It acts independently of the main one, which can also be used for manipulating graphic objects. One of these buffers can store one fragment, the other - another, and they do not affect each other in any way.
Step 10
In the Symbian operating system, while in a text input field in full-screen editing mode or in a native Symbian application, press and hold the pencil key. In this mode, the joystick keys allow you to select text, the left soft key - to copy it, the right - to paste. In the Symbian version of the UCWEB browser, to select the text outside the input fields, use the items of the additional submenu "Tools" -> "Copy".
