As a rule, on a new smartphone, the engineer or developer menu is locked. After activating the developer menu, 37 new functions open that allow the owner to more flexibly manage the settings of their device. Enabling Engineer Mode on the LENOVO S860 is easy.
1. To access developer mode, go to your device's settings.
2. At the very bottom, find the "About phone" item.
3. Next, select "Version Information".
4. Click on "Build number" 7 times. After 5 clicks, you will see a notification about the remaining number of clicks before activating the engineering menu. Pressing 7 will display a message about enabling engineer access.
5. The "For Developers" menu is now active.
You will have access to 37 new control points for your phone. The most useful and understandable commands include the following functions.
Useful function "USB debugging". This command must be enabled when you need to connect your smartphone to your computer to move files, install applications and view system logs.
An interesting function "Show clicks". Dots will be displayed on the screen where you touch the screen.
"Emulation of additional screens" displays one more screen on the phone screen, which duplicates the main one. The screen size and location are user-selectable.
You can display the current CPU utilization screen on your phone display using the Show CPU utilization command.
If you don’t know how the new settings work, then it’s better not to touch anything. It is wise to keep this mode inactive. Therefore, it is better to turn off the engineer mode, and activate it only when urgently needed.
