Bluetooth is the technology that has successfully replaced IrDa. With the help of this technology, owners of mobile devices and laptops can transmit various information.
Bluetooth is a technology by which mobile devices (some computers) can transmit data and connect to another device. The main advantage of this technology is that no cables or different wires are required to use it. The closest ancestor of Bluetooth is IrDa. Unlike Bluetooth, IrDa requires a special port in the device, and they must be combined to transfer data. The disadvantage of this infrared port is that it transfers data at low speeds.
Features of data transmission via Bluetooth
As mentioned above, Bluetooth technology allows owners of various devices to transfer information at high speeds and without using various cables, etc. In order to start the process of transferring information from one device to another, you need to make sure that they both have a built-in Bluetooth adapter. Each such device, after turning on the adapter, automatically searches for others. Until recently, the radius of searching for other devices and transmitting information was 10 meters. Today, the radius is almost 100 meters. This is due to the fact that today there are more wireless mice, keyboards and other devices that can be connected to a computer using Bluetooth, rather than using bulky wires for this.
Installing and configuring Bluetooth
Most users find that installing and configuring Bluetooth is the hardest part. On the one hand, this is correct. First of all, you need to make sure that you have a Bluetooth adapter, and if you do not have one, then it is better to purchase and install one. In order to put the Bluetooth adapter on a personal computer, you just need to plug it into a USB connector (usually they are located on the back of the computer unit or on the front panel) The device should then be automatically detected by the computer. If this does not happen, then you will need to install the drivers (usually come with the adapter). Then, when the drivers are installed, you need to click on the Bluetooth icon with the right mouse button, which is located on the panel in the lower right corner of the screen or on the desktop. In the context menu that appears, select "Accept file". The program will automatically search for all necessary devices, and then, when you find yours, you can easily transfer files from one device to another.
In order to work with Bluetooth, you must enable this adapter on one and the other device. Then, when the automatic scanning is completed, you need to find your device in the list and connect to it. After that, the user can easily transfer files from the phone to the computer or vice versa.
