Step 1
To enter ICQ from your phone, you must first register your UIN from the company's official website using a computer. Go to the page and click the "Registration in ICQ" button in the upper right corner. Fill in all the required fields and confirm the registration using the link that will come to you on the specified e-mail.
Step 2
For Java, the constant leader in functionality and usability is Jimm, which has received many modifications and has settings that even a desktop client can envy. Download the application from the official website of the developers and download it to your phone using a cable or Bluetooth.
Step 3
Start Jimm, go to "Settings" - "Account". Enter your own UIN and password. Make the necessary settings in the remaining menu items, then click "Connect". If the connection cannot be established, then try changing the asynchronous transfer parameters in "Settings" - "Network". Also check the "Additional connection" checkbox.
Step 4
For devices based on Symbian platform, the most functional applications that allow entering ICQ are QIP Mobile and Bayan ICQ. Download any program you like to your phone (in.sis or.sisx format) and install using the file manager following the instructions of the installer. Run the program, go to the profile settings, where enter your UIN and password.
Step 5
For Windows Mobile devices, there is its own version of QIP, which is similar in functionality to the Symbian version. For Android, there is an official client from ICQ, but the most functional one can be considered the Slick program, which supports the reception and transfer of files and is absolutely free.
