There are many types and models of color inkjet printers. With a low intrinsic cost of these devices, their operation is quite costly, because the cost of consumables, in particular original ink, is very high. You can reduce your printing costs by refilling your printer cartridges with non-genuine and cheaper inks. It should only be remembered that such a refueling can lead to a malfunction of the printer and you do it at your own peril and risk. Also, a good alternative to original cartridges is the installation of a CISS (continuous ink supply system) in the printer.

Instructions
Step 1
Canon printers usually have 2 cartridges - one for black ink, the other for color printing. Determine what color ink is used in your printer model. Take out the black ink cartridge. Cover the nozzle at the bottom of the cartridge with tape. Tear off the sticker on top of the cartridge. Draw 10 milliliters of black ink into the syringe. Slowly insert the syringe needle into the 5 mm hole at the top of the cartridge. Slowly moving the plunger of the syringe, inject ink into the cartridge. Replace the sticker on the top of the cartridge. Remove the tape from the cartridge nozzle. Install the cartridge into the printer carriage.
Step 2
Remove the color print cartridge. Immediately glue the nozzle onto the bottom of the cartridge. Peel off the sticker from the top side. There will be 3 holes under it, each leading to its own container with a specific color. Important! Determine correctly what color the ink is in each bottle. Otherwise, the cartridge will become unusable after refilling with the wrong colors. To determine the color of the ink in each container, insert a thin, easy-to-paint thin solid object into the holes. It can be a sharpened match, a wooden toothpick, and the like. Draw 5 milliliters of ink into the syringe. Then insert the needle of the syringe into the cartridge hole 5 mm. Slowly inject ink into the cartridge. Repeat this step with the two remaining containers in this cartridge. Cover the top holes on the cartridge with old sticker or tape. Peel the tape off the cartridge nozzle. Install the cartridge into the printer carriage.
Step 3
Turn on the printer. Press and hold the Stop / Clear button. After 30 seconds, the printer's ink counter will turn off and then it can be used. This reset method does not work with all printer models. In this case, use special programs to reset the ink counter.
