Step 1
Buy a webcam from a store. If you are not very well versed in them - consult the seller. Just remember that you do not need a webcam with "bells and whistles", a simple model is enough. There must be drivers included with the webcam.
Step 2
Connect the webcam to your PC, install the drivers. If for some reason the drivers are not included in the kit, download them from the Internet. Before downloading the drivers, make sure they are correct for your webcam.
Step 3
Now, after installation, make sure Skype "sees" it. You can check it like this: go to the Skype "Tools" menu, click on the "Settings" option, and then go to the "Video Settings" submenu. Make sure there is a check mark next to the "Enable Skype Video" option.
Step 4
If Skype saw your webcam and it works fine, then you will see your own image on the screen of your monitor in the upper right corner. No image - reinstall the drivers. If everything works fine, then your interlocutor will see the same picture.
Step 5
You can customize the video image at your discretion. This is done like this: click on the "Webcam Settings" button and set the brightness, contrast, and color gamut. All these changes will take place before your eyes, so you can easily choose the option that is most convenient for you.
Step 6
The image is there, and you have customized it to your taste - click on the "Save" button. Your webcam is set up.
Step 7
Look through the peephole of your webcam during a call. You can also calmly adjust your position in front of the webcam - you will also see the image of how you look at the “other end of the world” on your monitor.
