It is necessary

  • - antenna amplifier and power supply unit for it;
  • - antenna splitter;
  • - 75 Ohm antenna cable;
  • - ohmmeter;
  • - soldering iron and soldering materials;
  • - materials for sealing the hole in the wall.
  • - antenna connectors;
  • - antennas of various designs.

Instructions

Step 1

If your home is equipped with a collective radio reception device, do not use an indoor antenna. Bring the signal from the collective antenna to your television receivers using the KRAB splitter (consumer cable splitter).

Step 2

If it is not possible to use a community antenna, check that the frequency ranges of the indoor antenna and the TV channels that it is intended to receive match. Do not try to get a high-quality image of the decimeter channel using an antenna for receiving meter waves and vice versa.

Step 3

Experimentally select the working length of the telescopic antenna. Remember that for high frequency channels, do not extend all the elbows of this radio receiver. Both insufficient and excessive antenna lengths can degrade the reception of a television signal.

Step 4

Use a dedicated extension cable to connect the antenna to the TV. Find a position in the room that provides the best signal reception. If you cannot get a clear TV picture with an indoor antenna, use an outdoor antenna.

Step 5

Install it on the wall of the house opposite the TV center. Protect the device and the cable entry point from atmospheric precipitation. In a private house, fix an outdoor antenna on the roof, but only if your home is located in the coverage area of the lightning rod.

Step 6

If you live in an area with poor TV reception, purchase an antenna with an amplifier. Secure the card with the two supplied screws and connect the coaxial cable to the card. On the opposite side, connect a special plug through which the power supply for the amplifier is supplied and is blocked from entering the TV. A plug and power supply are included with the amplifier.
