In work and school, most people need to print a huge amount of documents. Unfortunately, ink in a printer is not permanent. Autumn is important that you always know how much ink is left in the cartridge, because otherwise you risk getting into a mess: at the most crucial moment you will not be able to print a single page.
Instructions
Step 1
Most of modern technology, printers in particular, comes complete with special programs with which you can monitor the ink level. If the printer starts to print unclear images, then it's time to check the cartridge.
Step 2
In the event that you have purchased a printer equipped with its own display, the task is simplified several times. Just go to the desired item in the hardware settings and display the ink level on the screen. So, for example, in devices of the Epson brand, this is done using the Setup button. Select the Ink Levels item, which means "Ink level" in translation, and wait for the result.
Step 3
If you are not so lucky with the hardware, then use the Status Monitor program, which can be found on the driver disc for your Canon and Epson printers. Install it and run it. To do this, go to the taskbar and find the printer icon icon. Double-clicking the left mouse button will open a diagram that will contain information about the amount of ink in the cartridges.
Step 4
Owners of an HP printer can also use a dedicated software program. You can find it by opening the list of all programs and selecting HP there. After that, you need to click on the tab with the name "Estimated Ink Level" and wait for the graph to open. Please remember that this is a guideline only. So do not wait until the cartridge is completely wasted.
Step 5
In the event that you managed to change the cartridge for a new one by contacting the services of another manufacturer, then the above programs will no longer help you determine the ink level. We can only hope that the new cartridge is equipped with a translucent plastic housing, through which you can see the amount of remaining toner.
Step 6
In order to avoid further problems, carefully study the technical characteristics of the printer even when purchasing the device.
