If you have speakers and don't want to buy a new speaker, you can make one yourself. To obtain high-quality sound, it is recommended to make a three-way speaker, consisting of three speakers: low-frequency, mid-range and high-frequency (tweeter). The body must be rectangular.

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to make a speaker case. High quality plywood with a thickness of 10-12 mm is best suited for this. You will also need a thicker sheet of plywood or a board from which the front panel of the speaker will be made. Chipboard can also be used instead of plywood.

Step 2

Using a carpentry tool, we cut out the walls of the column, the front panel and the back wall. In the front wall, you need to make three holes corresponding to the dimensions of the speakers. The holes can be cut with a jigsaw or a curly saw. The largest woofer will be located at the bottom, the mid-range speaker in the middle and the tweeter at the top. It is necessary to install rubber pads between the speakers and the surface of the front wall.

Step 3

To obtain high-quality sound, all internal surfaces of the speaker are pasted over with felt. The body is assembled using self-tapping screws and glue. After assembling the front panel and walls, it is necessary to lead the wires into the speakers and bring the terminals outside the rear wall. The speakers are connected in parallel. After installing the wiring inside the speaker, close the back panel and screw it in with self-tapping screws.

Step 4

When making a large column, stiffeners should be made inside to avoid unpleasant rattling of the column. It is necessary to attach rubber feet or special metal spikes to the bottom of the column. To give a pleasant appearance, the speaker case can be pasted over with foil or painted.
