Installing a television cable is a fairly simple matter. To do this, you, in principle, do not need any experience of this kind or theoretical knowledge. It will be enough to follow just a few simple rules.
It is necessary
- - cutter knife;
- - F-connector;
- - coaxial cable.
Instructions
Step 1
After laying the TV cable (coaxial), do not forget to leave a small supply of wire, as sooner or later in apartments, as a rule, minor rearrangements occur. Surplus cable can be rolled up into a compact ring of small diameter and tied with wire or paper tape.
Step 2
Take a sharpened knife-cutter in your hands and make a neat shallow longitudinal cut (about 1.5-2 cm). In doing so, be careful not to damage the conductors of the braided shield.
Step 3
After that, it is necessary to remove the incised layer of the outer cable insulation. Further, visually dividing the split end of the cable into three parts, free about one third of it from the shielding part. In this case, it is important not to allow tearing of the foil and thin conductors.
Step 4
Now, along the freed part of the wire, make another longitudinal cut. After that, it is necessary to free the carrying core from the insulating layer. Thus, you should have a fully prepared coaxial cable for crimping.
Step 5
The last thing you need to do is carefully install the F connector onto the pre-assembled cable. To do this, take the TV connector and screw it onto the coaxial with gentle clockwise movements of your hand. Secure the joint between the cable and the connector with glue, tape, or paper tape.
Step 6
Insert the F-connector into the TV socket and check the quality of the TV signal. If the signal quality is poor, remove the connector again and check that the strands of the shielding conductor do not overlap with the main strand.
