Satellite TV allows you to watch TV channels wherever there is a satellite coverage area. To do this, use a satellite dish, receiver or DVB card. Tuning to a satellite does not present any difficulties, you just need to know the direction, the meaning of its transponders and have a little patience. But in the end, you can enjoy high quality digital TV signal.

It is necessary

  • - puncher;
  • - drills with victorious tips;
  • - Phillips screwdriver;
  • - spanner key 10;
  • - spanner key 13;
  • - adjustable wrench;
  • - a hammer;
  • - a knife for cutting papers (for stripping the cable under the connectors);
  • - nippers;
  • - receiver with remote control;
  • - small TV;
  • - 220 V extension cord.

Instructions

Step 1

Install the SVEC offset satellite dish in the line of sight to the south. This means that there should be high-rise buildings, tall trees, etc. in front of it. Therefore, roofs and balconies become the optimal place for its installation, but you can also do this near the window. The antenna must stand firmly and securely, for this use a hammer drill and anchor bolts. The bracket on which it is installed must be strictly vertical or strictly horizontal, depending on the installation location (roof or wall). Connect the converter, connect the coaxial cable to the receiver.

Step 2

Aim the satellite dish before tuning after installation in the same direction as other, nearby, or located in the same area antennas. If there is nothing like this nearby, then use a compass. For example, when tuning to the Hotberd 13E satellite, which is accordingly located at 13 degrees E, point it to the south, first determine the geographic location of your city. The southern direction will approximately correspond to this value, for example, Donetsk region (Ukraine) is located approximately at 37 degrees E, respectively, the direction to the south = 37 degrees. v.d. or 37E. Thus, you need to find the Hotbird satellite in the right sector from the southern direction. This method refers to finding any satellite. You can also use the special program Satellite Antenna Alignment, where you can determine the position of the sun in the sky at a specific time. Knowing this, you can tune the antenna in this direction.

Step 3

Connect the receiver to your TV. Turn on the 220V power supply. When installing the F-connector to the cable, take care that the braid shield does not close to the center conductor. This could damage the receiver. Turn on the TV, receiver, go to the "Installation-Channel Search" menu. Select the required satellite in the list of satellites, for example, Hotbird 13E. From the menu on the right, select: LNBP: On. (converter power supply); LNBP Type: Universal (converter type - universal); LNBP Freq: 10600/9750; DISEqC: None (since one converter).

Step 4

Go to the "Transponder" submenu, select the appropriate value. Before that on the site www.lyngsat.com determine its value, which looks like this: 11034 V 27500, where V is the vertical polarization. On the screen, the value for "signal quality" will be 0%. This is not surprising, since the antenna is tuned approximately so far

Step 5

Release the antenna mount a little so that you can move it left-right, up-down. Install it in an upright position. Set the converter to the ")" position. Move the antenna left and right. Do it smoothly. If the signal value does not change, then slightly increase the angle of the antenna. Move it left and right again. At some point, the satellite signal will appear. Maximize it. Secure the antenna. Then, by rotating the converter, achieve the maximum value again, fix the converter. Scan the satellite.
